New gauge pod design!!!
Audio18: how far does your guage pods stick out? are they flush with the rest of the console? It looks lke they stick out some...really nice product, just, if they do stick out, you should think about making it flush.
The gauges do stick out a little bit. They are pushed back as far as I could get them at the top, but I had to kick them out a considerable amount at the bottom to make them easier to read. It is difficult to read the markings on some gauges if you cannot look at them straight on. I felt it was more important to have them readable than to have them sit more flush. It looks much better in person, and I will try to better capture than in some new pics soon.
With regards to the single gauge pod, I will eventually make these as well. The one I am using now is just temporary, but I will be making a better one soon. I want to get a good number of these 2 gauge pods finished up first, but I will try to squeeze some R&D time in there for the ashtray pod.

"I have been spending nearly all of my free time working on getting these things ready. I ended up taking a few steps back and basically made an entirely new panel that had a better fit with the dash. It fits in the dash almost seamlessly now, and I have since removed the dip underneath the gauges that spawned the "*****" comments. I am very, very happy with how well it has improved, so I hope everyone else feels the same way. I know that there are a ton of people waiting for me to get these out, but I assure you that the improved panel was worth the delay. Due to the labor and cost of materials involved with these, I will be charging $129 for each painted 2 gauge 52 mm panel."
Seems reasonable and I can't wait to get mine. Hopefully he will post pics of the new design.

The Greg Hardy Panel goes for 160. 1/3 of that (3-1=2) would be 107. Its also reasonably bigger. Food for thought.
edit* 112, sorry.

I saw the price before for the dual pod, I was asking for an estimate of total cost if one was to get both the dual guage pod and the ashtray one (aka 129+ashtray price)...I need 3 openings, not just two

-my panel only holds 2 gauges (which saves you anywhere from $50-300 depending on the brand of gauges you buy)
-you do not need to relocate your radio (saving you another $50-60)
-my panel cost 20% less than the 3 gauge alternative (saving another $31)
In total, you can save yourself anywhere from $130-400 by going with the setup I offer.
I love the Craig Hardy panel, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs that many gauges. It is a high quality piece, and it is worth every penny for it. Yes, my panel is slightly smaller, but only by a few inches in width. My panel also has less holes to cut out than Craig's panel, which saves work.
However, my panel requires the same amount of time, labor, and materials to lay the fiberglass. I then trim out, and I test fit and customize each one to perfectly match the dash. I also have to fabricate, test fit again, and mold the brakets to the panel in order for it to be able to mount in place. After repairing any imperfections, I have to paint with a primer, base, and clear.
Knowing that people would think that a 2 gauge panel should cost less, I dropped the prices down to what I felt was appropriate. Having a panel like this made by a stereo shop will run you around $50-60 per hour in labor, and it cannot be made in 2 hours. My charging $129 is actually a steal when you look at it, and I hope that this helps everyone to understand what is involved with creating something like this.
