The gauge pod is very nice. I already have the two-pod for the a pillar but this is very nicely done.
lemme tell you.....this pod is beautiful. It does not look like balsy or humpy or anything like that. It looks like a highly refined part. I was actually not to impressed with the CH pods since I am extremely picky. When I saw audios pod, I was not expecting much but was pleasently surprised. This is a very trick setup. Audio maybe you should post more pics from different angles so people can see what it looks like

Honestly, it has more angle to it than it appears in the pic. The paint I used has too much gloss, so it really highlights the curves on the pod in pictures. I will see if I can find other pics that better shows the real shape. I do not intend to make the final pieces that glossy, nor do I plan to use that exact color.
It is hard to explain, but the round shape of the pod where the gauges sit actually continues to the back of the panel. They are two distinct tunnels that run the depth of the panel then mold in at the back. In person, it is much easier to see this, and that keeps the design from looking like a set of *****. I tried making one where the two tunnels were leveled out in the middle, but it didn't look right.
If you have ever seen a lot of custom fiberglass work for car stereos (which most people have), you will know that most panels are made to be flowing and smooth. It is just the style that most people want when they want to show off. In some cases that is really cool, but it can also be overkill in certain cars. I tried to make my design a happy marriage of the cold plastic of the Evo/Lancer dash and the flashier smooth look that tells you the part is custom. I think the dash lacks a little bit of pizzazz from the factory, so hopefully most will find that this pod compliments and enhances it.
The design isn't completely finalized, since I haven't finished my new molds. I will take your suggestions into consideration.

[QUOTE=v8killer]If you don't use your gauge then why is it there. Or if you are looking at your gauge when your not driving you are either really bored or you've got a gauge memory feature!
The reason I was asking who actually looks at it WHILE they are driving is becuase I was curious the reason. Use it to make sure you don't have leaks, something to show off, and tell if you have your MBC set up to the right boost. Otherwise, if you're driving down the road looking at a gauge...you shouldn't be driving.

I'm to the point now where my triple pod is getting on my nerves. I plan on putting my boost gauge on the steering colomn and I need two other places for my oil pressure and EGT gauges. THIS WOULD BE PERFECT!!!!!!
Wonder what it would look like in just black?
I'll buy yours now.
