Yea, but its still not going to be all that expensive. You dont need the complete harness just the pigtail.

BTW...wheres the best place to get the double DIN panel?

I didn't buy the complete harness and i think it was still pricey. Regardless, i wanted to do it so relative to how much i wanted it, it wasnt bad.

i don't know of any shops that carry the actual 2-DIN panel, since usdm evo's don't have 2-DIN's. once i have my shop set up and my evoM vendor status ready, i'll be more than willing to help you out.

excellent. I've been wondering if there was a (relatively) easy way to get a double din opening for a screen/nav or something. Thanks for posting the info!

Awesome. I am definitely going to do this mod. Please either put together a package for sale, or post a FAQ w/pics. I'd be happy to either buy a kit from you or paypal a few bucks if you do a DIY faq.

I had searched a few weeks ago and one of the vendors said the JDM double din face place could be custom ordered for around $200.

I plan on doing a double din NAV system, perhaps the Pioneer AVIC D1.

Thanks again.

Very sweet. Now what about auto climate controls? Though I don't think that's possible...

yea i'd definatley love to do this. I've wanted to do it with the ECLIPSE AVN unit, but that AVIC D1 does look really nice

If you can set something up, a group-buy, how-to, etc. ANYTHING, i'm definatley down

Not without lots of money and someone to convert eh A/C system lol. But yeah when i relocated my hvac controls like 6months ago or something i was bombarded with questions on how i did it. Here it sounds like you had a shop do your move? My move used the stock controls. So it can be done cheaply as well...mine was free minus the radio relocation cubby.
