I still like your 2-DIN better since its more OEM but Man I tried so hard to find it with no luck as you and I know USA markets suck and UK doesn't ship to us easily. We are actually in 2 diff.. markets although they seem similar. I have always had PC in mind. And you have always had 2-DIN Piooneer or similar unit in mind. I can't do what your KIT does because of my angle of the HVAC. But for a 3 inch display it's no problem. I haven't decided how I'm going to market this, but I might direct people to buy the 2-Din from you and if they want to get the Cubby from me. You will market everyone including some PC user's and I will market pretty much PC enthusiasts who want to spend less money. I actually never intended to make money out of this I just wanted to share the leg work i already did to get to where I am at. Like I mentioned in my own post if I don't sell a single unit I don't really care I got what I wanted. +1 For Rich's kit. It really is very Stock looking and OEM. And I apologize if I seemed to mock your kit, I guess I got happy marketing it and got carried away with friendly competition..

Peace and like you mentioned earlier "Latinos really do think alike" good luck.

Sorry I jacked your thread, I've actually informed a few EvoM members to this thread as some of them want 2-DIN head units and not PC's.
Thanks for the kind words Gil. We'll talk about co-promoting a kit featuring my conversion and your in-dash PC in the near future. Expect a PM from me soon.

::update::

I'm happy to hear that you guys are as excited as i am. Please don't lose your enthusiasm as it is keeping me optimistic about the impact of these kits on our fellow evo community.

Things are looking good. My european contact has finally responded to me and things are underway and moving along quite nicely. Soon enough, i'll register myself as a vendor and be able to take pre-orders based on the list we're putting together on this thread (or another new thread, altogether) and keep the community stocked on the finest jdm/euro 2-DIN dash conversions in the country. I'm having one more meeting with my attorney and my accountant this weekend to finalize some things and setup a new bank account to do business efficiently.

Thanks Tom!! I'm sure you'll love it. Everyone that has seen my interior cannot believe it was a usdm evo at birth.

Let me know if your shop decides to stock any of the kits for your customers. I plan to set up wholesale relationships wherever possible.

BTW- Did you guys get my Lightning Yellow IX Rear bumper in yet? I know Cal said it was most likely still in transit.

That is awesome news. Since early this year I've been thinking of a good way to fit a 2 din eclipse head unit and this solution looks to be as elegant as it gets. I'm very excited about this and am looking forward to doing business as soon as you have the basis covered.

So... now that we have 2 DINs on the way... what's a good 2 DIN NAV/DVD/screen system? I wish the Pioneer AVIC-D1 had DVD...

i did the kenwood excelon ddx-8017. it features an onslaught of goodies like srs circle surround, srs wow, pro-logic II, and 5V preamps.

also, you can add the navigation system to it whenever you wish.

Just to let everyone know, Rich was at my house this past week and I just couldnt stop thinking about having that kit in my car. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it. It just changes the entire interior of the car. At night it looks so pimp, words cannot describe. Looks like I might be the 2nd to have it too!

Rich is working hard on this and believe me he is 100% serious about producing the best kit possible with all details included. I cant wait! This is what the EVO needs more than a damn catback - an interior upgrade!!!!!!!!
