That's what I was thinking as well. I think that the max AC setting is just full cold, AC on and recirc. No big loss

 

spooling- can you verify that the max ac function just controls the recirc vent for everyone.

Max A/C, on most vehicles, is the lazy man's way to slap on the recirculation and the A/C. It is merely a setup of 2 relays that flip the A/C on and the recirculation. Cars that dont have a push button A/C or recirculation dont have this feature.

Just little things a manufacturer throws in to add value to the consumer.

On topic though, quite a clean looking setup. My initial thoughts were to mold the center dash piece out of carbon fiber and chop up the original piece to fit in the factory radio relocation area. Moving the factory controls doesn't look to be a very big issue but the faceplate would be the greatest concern. When I'm ready, I'll let ya'll know.

 

two things left and the kit will be totally ready to be stocked on the shelves as a DIY product.

BTW.. is there anyone in the northern NJ area willing to part with their car on sunday, 10/23 for an install? i need someone's car to develop an instruction manual.
