Question. Do the Japanese 2DIN surrounds fit our cars? I forgot who it was (maybe it was earlier in this thread) that said they did something similar, but that the DIN rails wouldn't line up correctly..?

 

the JDM surrounds do not fit our usdm panels. that piece (available via japanparts.com) is merely an overlay for the JDM 2-DIN panel. a friend of mine, mike (kmxxbadboy), who posted on this thread earlier tried that with minimal success.

reason is that the overlay doesnt have the stock retention clips. its merely a dressup to the actual panel. i will be adding overlay options to my kits when they're ready to go (i.e.- carbon, aluminum, and oem alloy color)

 

Ah, sweet. Thanks for clearing that up. Judging from your pictures, the DIN rails all line up correctly?

i put together the combination of parts and brought them to an affiliate shop that ive used. i can recommend them to you for the actual work, but they're extremely expensive and they're in jersey.
