EVO VII front conversion done.
LOL about the CAT.... here's the story on it. I'm on a very narrow street one lane going both ways. The cat was actually hit in the other lane...I saw the whole thing. The poor bastard flies up in the air..... hits my bumper at a perfect trajectory coming downwards and takes out my bottom lip. I run over my lip, 3 or 4 cars after me run over my lip... I back track on foot and to my amazement the damn thing is still perfectly intact, no bents or anything aside from a small 1.5 inch piece that cracked off towards one of the ends. I just got a body shop to mold fiberglass onto it to replace the small 1.5 inch piece. Now its as good as new. God bless Urethane
Looks good... Really looks like a real VII like me ;-) But I think where you have modified the front bumper to retain the USDM crash beam you may have made the bumper sit out a few cm's too much... Either that or the c/bonnet isn't long enough?? But overall looks real nice...
I think its cause the CF bonnet isn't long enough, guy who did this conversion before me had the same seibon hood and the same exact problem. As far as I know Urethane doen'st stretch or anything and the bumper fits perfectly alonside the fenders and headlights, so i know its not the bumper. I need an oem hood bad, I just dun wanna shell out like 1100 bucks for a jdm cf one like HKSkansai or varis.
I love what you did except one thing. I think you should have used the Evo 7 headlights instead of the JDM mr's. If you're doing a 7 conversion then use 7 only parts. Looking good though. Keep up the good work.
