Yeah, I'm down here in Albuquerque and on RSW too. (03evolution) But yeah, the Yakima rack fits great imo! I'd love to hit up Colorado sometime soon, but I usually work weekends and have school during the week, so I'm just going to make a quick day trip up there to Santa Fe with a few friends. As for the rack, I bought it at REI. It was like $494 + tax. If you're ever down here in ABQ, shoot me a PM on here or RSW and I'll show you my car.

p.s. you bought Josh's old evo, right?

Yeah, i bought Josh's Evo. I work M-F 8-5 except lately, it's like M-M 8am-11pm. As for the rack, that seems a little bit steep! well it looks good wither way! i'm ordering mine after pads and winter tires later this week.

It should be known that this is NOT the typical price! I have found complete packages (base rack/mounts + ski/board rack) WITH all 6 locks for well under $300 + shipping.

I bought mine from REI and the prices there were exactly the same as ordering it directly from the yakima site. plus, if you're an REI co-op memeber, you get about 10% of your purchases back in februrary from the past year, which is about $50. The membership is lifetime and only costs $15. My rack ended up costing me $479 + tax.

Here's the price breakdown...

Q clips package 102 & package 83...............(2) @ $29ea. ---$58
Q towers............................................ ..........(1) @ $135------$135
Pair of 48" crossbars....................................(1) @ $54-------$54
SKS 6 pack lock set.......................................(1) @ $57-------$57
32" Yakima Fairing........................................(1) @ $55-------$55
Big Powerhounder (holds 4 snowboards).....(1) @ $120-----$120

Total =$479.00+tax

03Evo4G63 I saw your car in the parking lot at Ski Santa Fe a few weeks ago. Looked awesome!
Here's something I would like to know: has anyone done a custom install like this:http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=882744
on an evo and if so, what clips do we need? I would like to install mine like that if possible. I think someone already did on this thread. More info please

I just picked this Yakima up last week. Seems pretty solid. Same components as everyone has mentioned so far (Q Towers, 48" bars, Q102, and Q83 clips). I held off on the fairing for now. I may pick one up later, we'll see how it works without one (it seems more form than function). If any of you guys with the fairing have run with and without it I'd be curious to know if you think it's a necessary purchase.
