Evo 9 SE
Thats ok, just have to remember that the only people that ask that are ones who dont own one and dont know much about them. Most of the people that own evos know that they are all excellent cars and the differences between the models doesnt affect performance much. You just pick the model that has options that suite your tastes.

But everytime when I saw my car and drive it, all the excitment and happiness just came back. The car looks so hot and is so quick. Who cares what they say, especially they don't own an evo themselves.
Well for starters you should be listening to people who don't know anything about the car. You didn't buy it to make them happy. I'm a hypocrite though. I remember one of my first meets back in '04 in San Diego. I saw an MR parked for the first time and I recall thinking it was the Ultimate Evo. I thought it was some limited production, expensive *** car that was hard to get. It's just the image the MR exudes. I had my M3 at the time so of course I was uneducated to this world, but once I figured it all out...well GSR for life!!! Although I think the Ix trim here is closer to the GT in Japan. Topic for another time.
No red stitch shift boot, but if you find someone selling one come back onto this thread and post it....i'm sure everyone with SE would like it to match....my ITR has red stitching on shiftboot as well and there has to be one for the evo

As for any kind of road racing (which lets face it thats what evolutions are truly built for)... The 6speed is highly preferred by many well established professionals.
This debate could go on forever but, the 5speed is only slightly stronger, and much less smooth / well balanced.

And the 5 speed is FAR easier to flog through a road race or auto-x than a 6 speed, why don't you try it yourself than quoting professionals. . .and that infamous TC issue is a relic for some of the newer 5-speed trannies(05+ model years). . .

diamond black, at least thats what their calling it.
I think theyre just stripped MR wheels with a dark polish to it, but they do look better on the tarmac color. BTW, i noticed that at some angles its not a truly black at all. Sort of like a purplish black.
I have a few questions. I always thought the IX Gsrs came with the aluminum roof. So they do not? What is the appearance package on the MR? My opinion, I like the wheels on the SE. Personally don't like the lip although I don't think it is as bad as some of you are making it out to be. The seats are pretty freaking weak in my eyes- all they did was put a few red lines across them. I wish they would have at least made the stitch red or something- it looks a little to "custom" to me haha. I do think that most of it is hate because when I knew there was an SE coming out I was pretty pissed because I wished I would have waited like two months. However, I always wanted a red evo so I guess I probably wouldn't have got an SE anyway. Sorry if I'm overdoing it but those SE seats look like the cheapest recaros I've ever seen...they are BUCK NASTY. I know I'll really get some **** for this but I think I'd rather have the 03-05 crazy blue pattern than some crazy *** red lines across my seats. Overall, I think the SE is awesome and you can't really question its value. The rest is probably just me hating.

" They'll probably see that there's minor differences that won't matter when evos become modified...Just because I have the extra cash to buy one, doesn't mean I will because it's the top model. I have to justify the extra features, and I didn't think it was worth it...

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but its red stitching...not just random red lines
