so... do you have remote? if you have , then Mitsu Dealer/work shop they can reprogram it.

i would swap in all the power locks from a gsr too, if only i can get my hands on this key. squeeze me into the GB if it happens.

I think we are all really interested in it. Whats the appx unit cost?

And are we sure that it can be keyed for immobilizer for USDM cars?

because your US-Spec Evo VIN# is not recorded in their Japanese computer, so if you ask them, I believe they will say "Mitsubishi US can help you".

Im still waitin for my friend's reply. if he can get more from Mitsu Japan, then I'll start a GB for it. but still not sure at t he moment.

I might be wrong, but I think the immobilizer works directly with the car's ECU. JDM and USDM ECUs are different, so I don't think a JDM key can be programmed to work with a USDM ECU. Besides, the key is most of the time on my pocket or in the car's ignition, so this is a waste of money. On top of that I have a Clifford alarm and the 2-way carbon fiber-look remote control looks better than any key.

u should understand that whatever USDM or JDM they're all made in Japan. same ECU of coz. just program is diffrent. for the immobilizer, thats in your ECU not in the KEY. so all I need to do is go to Mitsu dealer to cut and reprogram the JDM key. done.

how about you take your original remote and tape it to your key..haha jk seriously though you can take apart the remote and fabricate it to the key some how yourself
