Finnally got my key from JDM Evo9
Everyone's talking about having to have this key programed at the dealer, but in the manual for my IX it tells you the procedure for re-programming a key yourself. As long as you already have two registred keys, you can program the key in a few simple steps.
Anyway, if there is a GB I'm probably in.

what u are reading in your manual is the procedure to program the chip inside your new key to work with your engine immobilizer...
basically you have to program u keyless entry , your immobilzer and get your key cut ..... hope this helps
A quick search will throw exactly what you need, it's even a sticky:

It works not only for the IX. If this procedure works for the JDM key, then just cut the key and you're done. The next question would be, do JDM and USDM Evos share the same key shape?
