License plate holder tab

I purchased my ix 2 weeks ago and noticed that the section where the license plate is supposed to sit on the left front of the bumper is missing a tab. Looks ugly! I have mine mounted on the right side. Anyone know what this piece is called and where I can buy one? Thanks! Sorry wish I had a picture of it.

Hmmm, not sure what you are describing. Is it part of the license holder assembly, or something that plugs a hole on the bumper?

take your car to the dealer and tell them it's missing. They should give you one.

Haha sorry about the confusion. It plugs the hole where you mount the license plate.

I'm not on good terms with them anymore. They curbed my $3500 rims and now they don't want to pay up.

Are you talking about the rubber grommet that goes in the hole before you put the bolt through it? Or an actual plug that seals it off? Mine already had the plate mount on the bumper when I bought it, but I didn't have any plugs to seal the bumper up when I removed the plate (I removed the rubber grommets & closed the holes with round silver vinyl stickers that matched my paint...

When you removed the rubber grommets did you have to remove the bumper or did you just yank on it? If you yanked on it did it destroy the grommet or is it still re-useable?

No, you don't have to remove the bumper, just grab it (by hand, or with pliers) and work it out of the hole. It's still re-useable.

Thanks foggy, I'm finally in a State with no front plates required! I'm gonna go do this right now.
