Request: AMS Race Intercooler on a Evo IX

I've searched and have only found a person with an IX talking about purchasing this intercooler. I've seen a bunch of pictures of VIII's with this IC, but no IX's. Anyone out there have one?

I'm pretty sure there are tons of IXs with AMS intercoolers...they are suppossed to fit just like the stock intercooler...and since the IX has the same chassis number as the VIII it makes no difference...now with their race intercooler you have to modify the undertray alittle (I know you have to mod in some way) but with the standard they work and fit exactly the same as they would with the VIII

How would they look the same? That thing is bigger than the regular AMS intercooler. I want to see what they had to cut away from the bumper and how the IC pipes stick out if they do.

I know how the standard AMS Intercooler would look on an IX. There are dozens of pictures. But I want to see the Race IC on an IX. There's an obvious difference between the Standard and Race IC's on the VIII's. I'm asking to see the Race IC on the IX so I can see the difference there.

Guys his talking about the race fmic not the street one race fmic I don't think its gona do anything for you unless you got 2.3 with 42r kit people run 35r on 2.0 making nice power with street fmic ask ams see what they say I'm pretty sure you also would have to do some modifications to make it fit

I'm sure they would too...Just curious as to how much was cut away from the IX bumper to make the IC pipes fit.

That's what I'm trying to find out. That's why I'm asking for pics.

I'm just asking for this out of my own curiosity.

If you go look at any of the VIIIs that have the race core the pipes are sticking thru the bumper itself. It also says that the piping they give you with it will only bolt up to their 42R kit. So once you cut your bumper for it that bumper is only good for that FMIC.
