Removed spoiler hole repair? help fix

I took off my spoiler now I have some holes on each side. I want to fix ths myself. What products are best to use and can you please include some advice on how to use them. Where can I get the same color paint as my car its Apexi silver. I think I will have to repaint the whole trunk but will i have to resand the whole thing or can i just repaint over the old clear coat? Is an air brush the best way to repaint my trunk? I know i should just take it to a shop but i really want to learn how to do it.

I would take it to a professional. If you have never done bodywork/painting before, odds are it will not look as good as factory. You will be disappointed.

Of course, by the time you pay someome to fill/paint the holes, you could have just bought a used silver basic Lancer trunk wth no spoiler.....

I would try and switch trunks with some regular Lancer owner. I bet some Lancer owner wouldn't mind dressing up like an EVO. :P

That is what I thought. 2 months later, and I still can't find one. Got any leads on those no-spoiler silver trunk lids?

Hell, I'll take any color now and I'll get it re-sprayed...

Please someone find/sell me a regular trunk lid (NJ/PA/DE) area.
FYI: My original trunk lid with spoiler will not be for sale or trade.

There are quite a few online pre-owned parts/junkyards out there. Just check google. In less than 10 minutes located a silver trunk in my area that I can buy if I would decide to do a trunk swap.

Funny you should say that. I did that too with little luck. Best place I found so far was www.car-parts.com.
Can you list some of the junk searches you used please...

In fact, I even drove to a junkyard (wasted 3.5 hours last saturday) just to find out their inventory was wrong and it was an OZ spoilered trunk lid. I was not too happy... and yes, I did call them first to confirm

[i]that I can buy if I would decide to do a trunk swap. [/B]
Well, my EVO trunk lid is not for sale. I'm keeping it for when I start doing track events, but for the street I want to have no wing.

Too bad you live in GA, if it was closer, I'd ask you to buy it for me and I'd drive down to get it... How much was it BTW? Most OZ spoilered ones go for about $125-$350. I've yet to find a non-spoilered version.

Can you do your search magic for one in Eastern PA, Southern NJ or Northern DE for one?

Thanks.

Hell, I'll take your grey trunk lid and paint it myself. How much do you want for it. PM me please.

TO ALL: I'm still keeping my trunk lid and spoiler. I am looking to buy an extra trunk lid. Not interested in any trades as I have nothing to trade. All I can offer is cash.

I got my holes filled (welded), trunk painted, and the total was $330.

85% less eye balling now that the wing is off,,,,, the other 15% know what this car is anyways.

This is another one of your options.

Wasnt there a guy that had some plugs that fit the hole perfectly? Im wondering if its reliable to just "plug it" instead of filling and repainting.

I was thinking of getting a spoiler like the IS300 to fit my car. B/c It is still a spoiler, but very low key.
