personally i think 23lbs for a hood is very light. The only reason why myself, and I hope others, purchased a CF was for the looks.

I'll post a pic of my tarmac once i get the hood on. Looks like it wont be here in time for this weekends Global Import car show.. =(

If you go on Ebay.com and look at the description it says the underside is made of fiberglass, that is probably the reason for the weight. The Fiber Images CF hood on my civic is 100% carbon fiber and weighs about 7-8 pounds.
