David-
Any of the Volk wheels are going to be a good choice because they are forged and will be stronger than a cast wheel (better/stronger for pot holes). Also Volks are mostly light. You will want to stay with in the 17in range to stay light but doesnt mean it can look good
The new ADVAN RZ wheel is forged and light as well. Usprung LBS can mean up to 200lbs or more can be saved from the right set of wheels/tires!!! Good Luck!!!
Here is my best friends evo with the Buddy Club QF's (forged wheel)

Mr. Buschur, i think you should really consider the buddyclubs they are a simple design that looks great, they are about as light as a wheel can get unless you go with real magnesium wheels. when this set of wheels were taken out of their boxes for the first time they were individually weighed and they each came out to exactly 13.60 lbs. they are also sold in white which i think would look absolutely sick on your beast, altho not everybody on here would agree... either way you can just paint them whatever color you want when you get them.
goodluck on your hunt for additional weight savings.

Dave are you not using your CCW rims with the QTP's anymore....if your selling im definitly interested since ive already talked to CCW abou purchasing a set...let me know if you have them for sale
ZMYEVORICK you ever sell those wheels PM me. I'll go rob the neighbor if I have too to pay for them.
David the Kosei's were made in 17x9 in evo fitment for awhile in gunmetal. They are somewhat hard to come by but are really light ~15lbs. Been trying to find a set myself for the track.

The Buddy Club's I can't believe are 13 pounds in an 18" wheel. The lightest I found has been 16 and that was the Kosei's. If someone can provide proof of that on an accurate scale, I would have to think long and hard about buying them. Anyone? (not being a smart ***, just hard to believe it's possible)
That AME wheel looks good but no weights, that thread is about the most useless I've seen from a vendor, filled with "bumps" and "PM's replied" sheesh, seems like a couple public answers would have been easier on weights and fitment. It is a nice wheel. Anybody know the weight on the 18x9's?
I guess the looks of what I have I am happy with honestly, the weight drives me nuts but in order to justify switching to yet another set there is going to have to be a substantial savings in weight and still look good. Hell these are just for the street as I said. If I had any sense I'd just be happy for once.
I will sell the CCW's with the Hoosiers on them. I'm not selling the wheel spacers with them though. The fronts need them, CCW can supply them or anyone probably for that matter. The wheels alone were $2400. They are perfect. The tires are also very good, not used very much. I'd venture to guess less than 200 street miles. Some 1/4 mile of course and some dyno use. $2800 for the four with the Hoosiers on them. Cheaper than new for all of it, that's for sure. I'd pay shipping to the lower 48 states.

zmyevorick, well, I did some searching, holy crap. I found some other guys who came up with about the same weight on the 17".
Evan from Vivid, I'm going to shoot you a PM since I see you are a dealer on these. Check your PM's.

Volks are a win in my book. Aren't the TE-37 15 lbs @ 18.8.5? I saw it once on their website...
