The only problem with this is that the reverse light will light up red and not white. I believe the JDM Evo 7 Tails colors in the reverse light lens pinkish to compensate. I currently have red over lays on my tail lights. The reverse lights light up red and I would fail my yearly inspection but I can take the overlays off and apply new ones. When painting the tails that is not an option

For some reason I think thats due to the fact that we are both past DSM owners

Your screename looks really familiar, weren't/aren't you over on the dsmtuners forum?

Just switch the turn signal and reverse bulb harnesses, works fine for me.

These came out a lot better than mine with the Krylon haha. Mine didn't clear that well.

I like it. Too bad mine are currently painted black... I have a question though. Would it be possible to sand mine down to remove the black paint (it is automotive paint and clear coated), or is there another way to do this w/o trashing my taillights too much?

Looks good!
Or you can use clear vinyl overlays, Which is reversable and it only $20. I have instructions if anyone wants them, step by step full color from when I used to sell kits for just this change
