Nicely done!

I splurged and got the real Evo VII tails. That was the first mod I ever got, 5 years ago. Still my favorite one. The Ricetezza stock pieces of crap are so ugly.

I did this, then redid them, and redid them and then bought EVO7 tails. No matter what you do (i used krylon stained glass paint too) they never turn out clear. There is always a haze when you have the brake lights on, and you always risk having one light darker than the other.

Those do look better than mine did though. i'll give you that.

I tried this mod a couple years ago, I now have new tails and the painted ones are sitting in a box somewhere in my garage. I agree this is a cheap mod but when you look really closeup it looks like ****.

They look pretty good, but unfortunately they will eventually warp from the heat. Looks good for DIY though.

Is there a better solution, rather than spending big$ on the JDM tails?

I had heard of some people painting the shrouds in black but I couldn't find a nice DIY.

you could also use a heat gun and take the tails apart and paint the inside to be evo 9 replicas.. my friend did it last week and it came out awesome
