DSLR Photography for beginner - How to shoot like a Pro.
On the Ferrari pics, he probably put the shutter speed up to 1/100th of a second or so to get the wheels/background to blur, then, move the camera at the same rate as the car. In this case, he must have been riding in a car next to the Ferrari. Try going out and taking pics of some cars driving, move your lens along with the passing car, trying to track the car in exactly the same place in your frame at all times, then snap the photo. Raise/lower the shutter speed starting around 1/100th of a second. Once you get too far below 100, it is tough to get the car in focus unless you have an IS lens
Great thread! I have been meaning to get into photography.
Would any of you recommend a D90? I have been looking into picking one up in the near future. A D300 I think would be overkill for what I will be using it for.

it will do all of your color balancing, sharpening, tones pretty much everything but its pretty much like a real lightroom, meaning you cant clone, edit stuff out, or fix blemishes in skin, classic PS stuff... I highly recommend this program.
