DSLR Photography for beginner - How to shoot like a Pro.
I feel this is an appropriate place to ask?? lol
Whats a good, not crazy expensive point and shoot? Im looking for a ncie camera. Nothing to do professional photography, just something I can snap shots of my cars, car shows etc, and they look good quality. I have an old sony cybershot thats well past its time now lol. I just use it to take pics to sell parts etc. I want a new one that will take halfway decent pics of the car though.
Thanks,
Anthony

I just recently picked up a Canon S95, but other than tweaking a few things here and there, I'm really clueless on how to optimize settings for better quality pictures (be it night or day time). They either come out too dark or the flash is too bright. I've tried playing with manual settings and using scene selection for the appropriate light. I just can't seem to get high quality pictures others can with theirs.
Anyone know any good resources or websites on what specifically to tweak on a camera for better results? I've read through some guides on how to physically take better pictures and methods on doing so. I just have literally zero experience regarding taking photos and knowing how to set certain things to optimize the photos. I suppose that is why my photoshop and modifying abilities have gotten much better due to the lack of skill and knowledge in taking the pictures haha.
