TCC caliper recoat
Here are my calipers coated in candy teal.

First off the good.
I can't be happier with the finish and the color. I really love the way they look behind my custom bronze painted wheels. Feel free to post your opinions. Thank you TCC for your attention to detail and quality of coating.
The bad.
TCC response and communications was unacceptable. I have emails from Carlos telling me it would only take a week to recoat my parts from the day he got my calipers in his hands. He had them over a month. My car was on jack stands waiting for calipers for about 40 days. This all wouldn't be so bad if Carlos would reply to emails or phone calls and let me know what is going on. Before I sent him my calipers he emailed right back with all of my questions always within or before one business day. After he got my calipers that all changed. I waited over a week for replies and sometime never even got one. I am not writing this to say don't use TCC for your coating needs. The outcome as you can see form the pictures are amazing. Just warning people of what can be expected as far as communication style goes.
THIS IS NOT A BASH SESSION ON TCC!!! Just info and an honest review of TCC being they have a strong presents here in this thread.

Your kidding !! a business guy that answers everything to get your business then once he has it doesn't give you the time of day? That NEVER happens
(sarcasm
)
I got mine done exactly a year ago at Fast Forward Wheels in LA. I have done 4 track days since and besides 1 rock chip on a rear caliper and 2 rock chips on the same wheel (most likely from an offroad excursion right before Phil Hill at BRP), my wheels and calipers look amazing still. I got mine done close to stock but a little more Porsche red on the calipers and a little more galaxy in the grey of the BBS MR.

before and after:

I am going to be running NASA next week at BRP if anyone is there and wants to check out the job. Also, I will try to remember to take pics. after next weekend too.
...oh, and 1 weekend at the track was in June and it was over 100. I burned through pads and warped my rotors + other stuff in my car melted and got pissed off BUT the calipers looked great after.

Fun times story:
I have a running bet with Mike W. at RRE that my calipers will look like poop before the caliper jobs that RRE does with powder coating though Stoptech will. If I lose, I have to put a dollar signed with my name on it in Honda Robert's underpants.
So, mine are painted and the RRE hook up is powder coated. After a year, I cannot see a huge difference BUT RRE has cars that have done twice as many track days with a job done twice as long ago on the powdercoating and they still look great. ALSO, the RRE job is powdercoating + rebuilding. FF Wheels only rebuilds if it is needed, so I got some stuff replaced but not everything fully like the RRE job would be.
The only thing that detracted me from going through RRE was that Stoptech doesn't put Brembo stickers on the calipers. If you are a d00sh like me, you want fancy stickers (not ebay BS) and you are too dumb to DIY it and then clear everything with the legit stuff again BUT the RRE job seems like a better deal because of the rebuild aspect and the concept that Mike W claims that they will last longer. He has been working on DSMs since before I had a license and I have had an EVO for 5 years, so I would defer to his knowledge.
I found a couple pics. from September. I haven't tracked my car since June.
These are more far away shots, so I don't know how helpful they are.

Yes the brakes bled out just fine. Robert at road race tipped me off and said not to let the fluid drain out or i would never get the air out of the abs system. I just pulled the brake lines off and zipped tied them up as high as I could so gravity held the fluid down. All is well now. No abs issues from getting air in the abs system.

Currently working on my project. Top Secret sauce with kit from ETS. Brakes were done while my car sits without an engine and tranny.
