Yea, just get whatever parts you want and send the estimate to the ladies insurance company. I doubt they are going to say/notice anything about JDM parts. You said your uncle is going to do the work? Then it should be easy to fabricate a list of parts to fax in an estimate to their insurance company. Just make sure the total doesn't exceed your cars value.

trust me it does suck big time, there was nothing i could've done to avoid this hit. I recenly bought a brand new lip for my car and the fender liners ,i was going to get the lip painted along with my front bumper because it has all these rock chips . Since the body shop will be painting the complete rear of the car i was thinking to just paint the whole car ww which is it's original color but i have no idea how much mora can thats cost.

my uncle works at the body shop so he know how to deal with insurance companys . In the other hand i don't know crap about insurance company except they never like to pay up lol. I'm sure i will get a my jdm goodies

you shouldn't have any real problems when dealing with State Farm insurance. Overall they are a great company and I have never had any issues with claims under them.

yes they are one of the best. I have Progressive right now and after everything has been sorted out I will change to state farm

State farm is notorious for using "like OEM" parts Good luck getting them to give you money to buy parts from the dealer.

ON the flip side JDM parts almost always end up being cheaper then OEM from the US dealer so you should be fine if they just cut you a check or the body shop and you and the body shop "have an agreement".

You don't need receipts. You can get an "estimate" from a shop that can source the lights and it is just as good. Since it is her fault they have to make you "whole" so it doesn't matter whether the parts are aftermarket or not. Trust me I just went through this and got close to 8K for a rear end accident.

I wouldnt mention anything about the JDM parts. I would just go after OEM, you can almost guarentee that JDM will be less expensive.
