Looks good. I thought I saw this car a long time ago back in 2008 but I could be wrong.

Could have it's my daily.. made lots of trips around then to see my GF who lived in Seattle WA at the time.

In 08' it could have been flat back or the champ white it is now. painted it mid year 08'

If so i think i might want to start this. but i would rather start with just the engine swap and then go onto the AWD conversion.

any tips/pointers to someone who would be looking to do this?

If I was to restart from scratch I would look for a:

93-96 Mirage LS
or same year Colt/Summit with a 1.8 "4g93"

Those cars came with a hydro 5 speed. makes the swap easier.

Then source out the parts needed,

Hard way, Buy a 92+ DSM AWD and weld in rear subframe. "4bolt"

Or much better way use factory 1-3 parts.

Eather 6 bolt dsm 4g63-t or Evo 1-3 half cut "4g63-t"
Evo 1-3 rear diff and trialling arms
Evo 5 speed and T-case
Evo 1-3 driveline
Evo gas tank / or fuel cell

Plus a very good fab guy, hope he works for beer or a cheap rate. :-

My Awd swap was about 4 months of trial and error. working on it a few hours a week.

There is lots of info on the 4g mirage 4g63-t swaps on Mirageforums.net

Sourcing parts is hard some times, But It can be done,

good place to start is Ebay:

Jhot exports
jdm exchage
and others

It was black back them from what I remember. Not too many of them around so I figured it was the same car.
