How do they do this?

I stole these pictures from VegasBoys thread on SEMA...is that suede? Alcantra? Im stumped....and how is it done???? I cant see someone strippign the entire dashboard of all its plastic and recovering...If its not too complex id consider it

at first i thought it was sprayed on but in the second picture....u can see stitching or what appears to be...

its like my gf's uncles 360 modena. the whole interior is like that, it was custom made in italy.

In some spots the flash made it look like primer in the first picture.

I don't know what to think of it though....

It actually would not be that hard.

I do alot of Aircraft upholstery for the jets here at Andrews AFB, and that suade job on the EVO looks simple in comparision.

The interior peices would definitly have to come out of the car, but no stripping would be needed. You would just use spray adhesieve and go right over the original material.

When I first saw these pics. a week or so ago I was really impressed with it. I was thinking of doing something similar to my EVO, but started realizing what a nightmare it would be to keep clean. I'm still thinikng about it though. It would be a fun project this spring.
