Some more updates...I sold my powder coated BBSs with tires last weekend, so its time to pick up another wheel and tire setup...My BBSs and tires were around 44-44.5 lbs...I have decided to go with black 17 x 8.5 Enkei RPF1s (16 lbs each) with some 255/40/17 tires...I am looking at 2 different tires...Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 (25 lbs each) and the Continental ExtremeContact DW (23 lbs each)...I've read a lot of good reviews on the Hankooks and Neal @ Tirerack actually recommended the DWs....anyone have feedback on either of those tires?!?
Also I did some weight reduction over the past 2 weeks...
Tar Sound Deadening & some of the Firewall padding - 15 lbs
Rear Crash Beam - 17lbs
Box of Misc. brackets and other crap pulled from the engine bay - 6 lbs
Fortune Auto Ti Lug Nuts - 1.5 lbs (Stock 3 lbs)
Rear Wiper Assembly, Drive Shaft Tunnel Heat Shield, Hard EGR line, Power Steering Cooler tube, Rear 02 sensor - 8 lbs
Now on to the pics...
Rear Wiper

Rear Wiper Plug (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...iper-plug.html)

Missing something??

How about this...

For now I just got some 3/8 fuel line and connected the reservoir to the hard line...At some point I will delete the whole hard line and run a 3/8 fuel line from the reservoir straight to the rack but I didn't feel like climbing over my motor at the moment...

Dry Ice to help remove the tar sound deadening material...

New Braille 11.5 lb battery...I designed my made my own battery tray, Ill post some pics of it once its painted...I also extended my negative battery cable a foot so I could hide it...

Just so everyone knows what I am looking for...I want to go with a tire that will make my wheel and tire setup together around 40-41 lbs at most. My car is not my DD. These tires will not see an autox or track event as I have another set of rims and tires for that. I want them to be a good wet & dry tire. These will see some spirited driving and 1/4 mile time. I cut pretty consistant 1.6 60 fts with other tires I have owned and would like to keep it that way (RT 615s & Nitto 555s).

Bumping this thread to remind myself to update it later tonight...pics of new wheels & tires, some suspension parts I painted...Battery tray I designed and made then my buddy powder coated for me...catch can setup...and some other stuff...
MAP sent me their 6 bolt L19 ARP Head studs and obviously the evos use the 7bolt Head studs...The correct ones should be here this afternoon...
I should hopefully have a box of stuff coming in from Mitsuparts today...
My turbo should have been here already but someone *coughChadcough* (
) shipped it to Spec-Ops instead of me!

Alright some pics updates...
This was ugly as hell red...So I sanded the hell out of it and sprayed it with a thick coat of primer and then a semi gloss black...

Battery tray I designed and made at work...

Powder Coated gloss black by one of my local buddies...

What is looks like with the battery in it and install...

I've always wanted to do this but never had a chance, I know it won't make much of a difference during a 1/4 mile run or during an autox lap but I'm sure it would make a difference on the road course, which I am already signed up to do an event @ NJMP soon...DEI coated and wrapped QTP cutout downpipe...came out good...

I am usually not a big fan of stickers but there was a big scratch where I put the Amsoil sticker...

Then I decided I needed to represent ToxicFab...

My DC3 split catch cans came in...I will be running the same setup as Tom (tscompusa)

This is my 2nd set of MAP ARP L19 head studs...The 1st set they sent me was for a 6 bolt...The 2nd set they sent me 2 day air...which they should have...thanks...

And last but not least my new 17 X 8.5 Enkei RPF1s with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K1110 tires...around 4 lbs lighter per wheel then my stock BBSs with Nitto tires...very nice I like!

I am still waiting on a box from mitsuparts...My turbo should have been here Tuesday but someone shipped it to NC instead...
And I am hoping to have my valve cover back from Carlos @ TCC on Saturday but it doesn't look like that will happen...well see...

I have bought aluminum sheet and tube stock from them, always ships quickly and prices seem reasonable. They have aluminum sheet up to at least .375" thick.

Nope, but where I work a lot of sheet metal stuff is done. I just know how to use the machines. We build SS FDA approved sanitizing equipment for large food companies, etc. Mainly stuff related to agricultural and poultry equipment. Website...
