So Brian, how long do you think till you make a trip to the track and do some passes down the 1/4? I am very interested to see your results with the fp green, pump gas & 6 spd...

In all honesty it will be a little while. The car is on the stock clutch still so that will need to be changed. I have been delayed so badly on waiting on parts I just want to get it together and back on the road. Once its running I will need to install the FP cams and then start thinking about a clutch. I will be able to guage pretty accurately what it will run once I have a dyno number and weight number anyways. My guess is it will run in the 10's no problem at near full weight and street tires. My horsepower guess is 430-450. I can obviously make way more horsepower on race/E85 and I can easily make the car lighter. But I want to do the very basic first. I'm hoping to be near 2800# and 430 to start. End goal is 2700# and 450whp on pump gas, street tires, full street car. I wont know how realistic these goals are until I get the car running, dynoed, and weighed. Only weight reduction I've done is the Buschur lightweigt front bar and rotors. I did the upper I/C and mini battery of course and the suspension gave me about 7# a corner. But nothing major. The wheels arent even uber light. I only did rotors because the ones on the car were rusted and worn out. I have done very little mods. It still has stock throttle body, intake mani, etc. I want to see where the car sits whp wise on the very basics. We'll go from there. I want to do the mods one at a time to see what kind of gains I am getting.

Will you be keeping track of the money put into the car? Would be good to see what mods cost/HP gained.

Yes, every dollar is accounted for and will be posted at some point. Thats why I want to do the very basic things first. I will show what was bought and what was sold or traded. Some stuff I was forced to do like the rotors which arent necessary for many. But no way was I going to spend money on rotors without getting what I wanted. I feel these are the best for the money spent anyways. Top notch quality and service. They even pm'd me today to say they are getting them back today from anodizing and I should have them in a few days. I'll be getting more done tonight but I am waiting for shift change. I'm playing Dad right now while the wife catches some sleep 30 more minutes and I punch out and head to the garage

So will you be doing a 5 spd swap when doing the clutch or will you be sticking with the 6 spd? So you really think high 10s on 93 oct. with the 6 spd? 6 spd is a bi*ch to drag race...haha trust me...

Actually wheeldude is his sponsor not Rota. I'm not talking smack about Rotas. I'm just saying the centercaps make the wheels look really cheap. I'd rock those exact same wheels he has gladly I just wouldn't run centercaps.

And I don't know what's up with my posts. I've made a decent number of posts but for some reason my stats only show 1 post made.

I highly doubt I will drive around without center caps. I hate seeing the bolt and stuff although I did just put new cotter pins in and polished them LOL... Not sure what I'll do yet on that.

I scrubbed the JDM crash support. When you use that bar you eliminate 90% of the mounting points on the bumper since you cant use the metal liner bracket. So I made my own license plate bracket from an old RSX intake plate I had lying around and re riveted it. LED's are working, etc. If anyone wants a slightly cut up bumper support let me know.

Im the opposite i never run center caps in most cases and paint the ugly rusty nut black.. Looks more racey to me without caps.. Especially some brands caps.. I can see like a set of HRE or BBS LM caps might look sweet but japanese wheels i use pull the caps myself.. Paint one and see how it looks..

Bolt kit for one. Its been two weeks and they pm'd me today and said they were coated wrong and a new batch went out. So I am guessing another two weeks. Stuff like that... Rotors, etc... He did say they should ship early next week. But the wait times have been ridiculous. My point is I cant even think about center caps right now

haha...Trust me...I feel the same way...My car has been down for almost 2 months...between my FP Red having to be sent out to be rebuilt to me selling it once I got it back then buying a BBK turbo, then deciding to buy all my brake stuff and waiting for that to come in, and painting my calipers, etc, etc, etc....Car should FINALLY be running next weekend...
