Just curious why you didn't switch to the TiAL QR to try and fix your driveability issues.

Well even to do that I wouldve needed a new intake pipe for recirc. I really like the ETS powder coated units so I went that route. Even a Tial QR isnt the best for drivability from what I hear and I dont like half stepping when working through a problem. I know for a fact my 1G gives the best drivability so it was a perfect first step. And I was right. So now that its fixed I will go with a synapse BOV recirced. The Synapse is my number two choice behind the APS but they are near impossible to find. Both will work on the tube type flange so no harm done. I thought this out thoroughly believe me. I just wanted the car fixed. I am only having a slight throttle hang between shifts now. IAC? Track day coming soon

The "stealth" pipes we've offered forever, they were on Project White. The pipe kit is called short route but is no shorter than what you had. VGA sucks on a MAF equipped car, yep. The Tial is the best valve Ive ever used and now they have the recirc style valve, you HAVE to get the spring rate right in it though.

Also sounds like you have some more tuning to do, that throttle hang is easily sorted out in the tune.

Good luck at the track day.

What are the effects of removing the hood louvers? I have seen some people do this. Will less heat escape the engine?

Well this car is so impressive. Drove it a few hours tonight. The HTA Green just makes tons of tq and makes it quick. I drove down to Palm Beach to roll and pull a guys fenders. He has an Sti so I had to bring the evo Took him for a ride and all he could say was "FOCK this thing is fast" LOL... It was a fun night to say the least.

But yeah, the green mated to this mani is perfect. Lots of quick spool and tons of power up top... Im super happy with the combo. Just need Robi spec to do some alignment magic and she will be ready for her first track event. More in car vids coming soon

I run an APS twin vent, was lucky enough to find one, but my throttle/rev-hang issues are terrible. I have yet to throw in the stocker again to compare, but I'm extremely aggravated by it. I floor it in any gear, or even moderate throttle with a bit of boost and depress the clutch, the revs just jump up and hang. It's bad for WOT runs and ends up being harder on the trans. Hopefully Ivey can tune it out, I don't see it being a mechanical issue.

Good luck sorting yours.

I'm running the Aps twin vent and have no issues at all. Made good power on buschur's dyno and stock block with bolt ons. Going 2.3 stroker and fp red and I only run 93 octane.

Yes, I do the Braman event's. Its cheap, ton of nice people who take you for rides in their mega $ cars, and a 5 star dinner. They even have a radical you can ride in at times.

berns- I am being told it is tunable. I will let you know as soon as I solve mine I dont think its a BOV issue. I had it before and after the stock crushed 1G. Its something simple in the tune or like IAC. My IAC was acting up on the Tial Q but not sure how much its in play between shifts. Im not a tuner, just a driver. I just work through things logically. I am going to buy an IAC and retune. I'm confident it will magically disappear. Good luck with yours as well. If you get it sorted first let me know.
