I've actually done one of the Braman track days and I agree it is well put together. A good friend of mine works at Extreme Performance in Palm City and his boss was kind enough to let me tag along to one of their company outings. All in all they brought out a new Camaro SS, E92 M3, GTR, a 599, and 430 Scuderia. They let me get behind the wheel of the Camaro, M3, and the GTR but the Ferraris were off limits.

Yeah I definitely want to make it up there this year. Learning how to be a Dad this last 14 months has complicated things by a factor of x10000000 LOL... Even if I have to come up by myself I will do my best to be there. Im thinking of converting the combo to an RS actually. This MR/SE is a bit too nice to start swapping seats, trans, etc. So I may sell it with bolts ons and make a swap. My initial plans and why I bought this car was I wanted to make it as nice as possible for a daily. But I drive about 30K miles a year and I am so use to stuff like my AMG's and Porsche Cayenne's its hard to love the evo on a 4 hour drive Everything is up in the air right now... My thought right now is buy a daily and buy an RS to play with.... ???????? Regardless I will make it to the shootout this year. Cant miss another year.... That event was one of the best weekends I have ever had....

If someone is looking for a near perfect 24K mile MR/SE let me know.

You are nuts. Just make this project what you want it to be, swapping to an RS makes no sense.

The next car could have more problems and be twice the work! You already know what you have. You could always swap out the power locks and windows and you can have a RS.

Problem is I have no space and cant have stuff apart in the driveway where I live. I do all the work, well most of it, in my garage. If I keep it I need to pull the seats(what do I do with them?). If I sell them I ruin the value of it being an SE. Where do I store them? Then the trans. Buying a 5 speed core isnt cheap but easy to do. Then I have a 6 speed. Where does it go? Then the rear glass? And the list goes on with door locks etc. It still wont be as light and it will still have ABS. I much rather pocket a few K in profit instead of destroy my current cars value. I can buy a nice RS right now locally for 18K. Tough decision and Im not 100%. We'll see what happens. I dont need to sell it. But rather let someone enjoy the car for what it is. I have only put 2K miles on it since August. It just sits. I wont be driving it again until March's event.

Very true, I'm not sure what your current setup is worth but if it was me I'd just plan on making it an RS and sell the other parts. I wouldn't plan on keeping the parts so when its time to sell the car you can have it as a MR. Either way you look at it, the car will be worth more being built and sold my you. Everyone knows the kind of high quality work and parts done to all of your cars

either rent a small storage unit or sell the ****, just bc you owned that car people will pay more for it...some kid will see all the records you hold with the old car and will pay you more than the cars worth when you decide to sell ir regardless i=of it having original parts or not

teribble and mullen- I suppose you guys could be right to a point. I just hate the feeling of destroying a nice example to make it a track car. Figured it would be nice to let someone have it that will enjoy a nice daily. Not to mention I can make a profit on it and start another one. I have thought about buying an evo from time to time, building it and going through it, and selling it at a small profit. Im looking at one right now to play with. I just like playing with them more than I like driving them every day. I get bored easily LOL I stay with the evo's because I like the community and I think they are the best bang for the buck. We'll see. Regardless Im not going any where. Just need a daily so I can concentrate on the evo. Track season is approaching fast.

You could also sell it and watch it turn into a big riced out POS or watch it go up in smoke. Before the evo i had a nice SRT-4 and enjoyed the car very much. I traded it in for the evo then watched it go through two different owners hands and then caught on fire and is destroyed now. If you enjoy flipping them, then get a junked one for cheap and rebuild it and keeping doing that. I also get board with my cars very fast and seems like i'm always trying different things and parts.
