It will either be an ultimate ratio or stock 8. Clutch will be an Exedy Twin for now. I already have the clutch and tb. Just trying to figure out if I want to buy a 5 speed and keep downtime to a minimum or swap a friend and be down for a few weeks while the trans is at Sheps.

You should try it after a 12 hour duty day LOL.... I left that morning at 6:30AM and that shot was taken about 7:30PM. Hauling freight is very rough. My usual run was Miami-Cancun-Merida-stay about 3 hours and then return-Cancun-Miami... Flight times averaged 6.5 hours a day if everything went smooth.

Very sweet. ATC guys. You guys are always telling me where I can go LOL... I took the opportunity to spend an hour at a high volume ATC facility and my hats are off to you guys. I have no idea how you guys do it. My worst pucker factor ever was coming back with limited fuel. I was told from Miami to hold close to the airport at any altitude. I refused to descend and asked to hold over Key West at about flight level 23,0. I knew Ft Lauderdale and all surrounding airports were closed. I ended up holding for about an hour and a half and had to declare min fuel. Key West has no approaches and I had to have an ATC controller give me a PAR. For the people who dont know that is where the controller guides the airplane right to the runway. Pooring rain, short runway, and no appraoch in minumum visibility. That guy brought me down to 200 ft and I literally had to dip slightly to catch the lights. I was so amazed how a guy in a building miles away at a different airport(AFB) could line me straight up. Like I said, I dont know how you guys do it...

haha I was going to say the same to you, not sure how you remember so much crap, plus if we mess up we always have someone to take the mic and correct the problem, if you mess up well... but either way it is amazing how the aviation system works

Everything was closed so it didnt really matter about priority. It was hope for the best with a PAR. Not too mention I wouldnt even have made it. I was definitely smart for holding over key west and dropping right in. Weather was horrible with min vis and a ceiling of about 100'. I had enough fuel for one appraoch so I took the PAR. You always look back and say man I couldve done this or shouldve done that. It was hard enough explaining to the company why their airplane was at a small airfield in the middle of no where. I could barely make it to the ramp because the wings were overlapping the taxi way... I mean I have landed multiple planes with engines shut down, no brakes, hydraulic failures, etc, that never bothered me. But flying with min fuel in almost unlandable conditions was not a fun day. We were already so tired from the long day I made the first officer fly the holding patterns so I could rest up for the approach. Yeah, not fun. Min fuel and fire is the only thing that scares me in a plane. I'll drop that beast in an ocean no problem, just dont set me on fire or run me out of fuel in horrible weather The fun days are flying at 51,000 ft on oxygen and having mad tailwinds or flying inverted in an L39C. Those are the days I like to reminisce about

id say my scariest day was when we had 2 emergencies, both p3's. one had hung ordinance( bomb that they tried to dropped and it wouldnt) and another a bird through the cockpit and hit the copilot in the face...good times and im gonna miss controlling the military guys bc they can be alot of fun when i get a could mixture in the patttern. like heavies (kc135 fueler) and light civils( our flying club had a pa28 aka cherokee) in the bounce doing touch and goes. that flying club instructor was nuts haha wake turbulance out the *** and the plan was all over the plan and hes as calm as could be wwhile his students were basically crying
