Most-Wanted's IX Build Part "DEUX"
Well I found the wiring problem. I was so pissed today because I havent been able to figure it out. I started getting everything together to wire the stock guage package back in. But a glutton for punishment I decided to try one more time. I pulled the entire system apart and rewired it. It works. I am the type of person that needs to know "WHY". I knew I wired it the same exact way so what was it. Well it seems as though when you plug the meter output in it has to go to number two. Since I dont have the books I dont know why, but it is working now and for anyone confused why the lights wont dim thats your answer. It has to go to plug 2??????? Dont care, it works and they are allowed to stay in the car for now
Gonna wire in the uego and back up mechanical boost guage tomorrow...
Now for a mistake on my part
Well not really a mistake but an oversight. I wanted a nice middle of the road coilover. Ordered what I thought was realistic which was the KW3. Here's the problem, they dont even come with tops. No nothing. Not even camber plates... I guess I've been going straight for too long
I have said I wanted this to be an easy build with straight forard parts so its easy to duplicate. Anyways, lots to consider on these things. So I went with an even cheaper coilover but it comes with everything and you can even order them with custom rate springs at no extra cost. So I went with the BC RAM coilovers with custom valving and custom rate springs of 8/10. Not only do they look nice they are complete. Hopefully they will work well. I have to say a special thanks to Mike because he took the KW's back no questions asked. He could've just said your stuck with them but he didnt. He has excellent customer service and thats why I shop at AWD. Thanks Mike for understanding and getting it worked out for me...

^^Nothing wrong with the BC BR series coilovers...I have had them on my car for around 2 yrs...no issues at all...work great for autox and for the 1/4...I changed my spring rate as well, forget now what I had mine set to though...front camber plates are very nice also...Great coilover for the $$...can't really beat them...I set the dampening to full soft for daily driving and they feel great, barely stiffer then my stock MR suspension...

LOL...
Electrical issues are the worst! Glad you figured it out man. BC are made in same factory Megans are. I have Megans, and they completely removed all my traction issues which were pretty bad with the stock suspension + tein springs. The only thing negative I heard about the cheaper kinds is that they wear out faster. With that said, I think you will be more then pleased with your choice.

Scroll down a ways. Good pics of them. I narrowed it down to these or the Stance. This guy just happens to be fairly close and already set up perfect. Price was right so I went with these. Both appear to be very reasonable sets. I'm over the hype of te big dollar stuff. I Apexis were fine on the street and gave me 1.3 60's. If you ask anyone about them they will say they suk. Maybe for an all out road race car they do, but these simpler kits have to be all right for the average. And thats what this car will be, average...

LOL... Its funny to me because this guy builds show cars and bikes and does the most amazing paint jobs. And this is his daily

I'm happier now anyways because I wanted this to be a budget build so these fit more into line with what I set out to do... I'll post pics tonight when I get back with them...
So, many thanks to Dan at WHEELDUDE.COM. He spent alot of time with me going over different options on wheels and tires. I went with a mild 18x9 30MM offset SVN in matte black. I am trying to keep this a very realistic build so its easy to duplicate. Tires are 255x35 Dunlop Star Specs.

Here's a little teaser

LOL... I cant wait to see them in person
Those look like mine and hopefully they are ready for their new home
Thanks. Next week we should make some head way. Pretty much sitting back waiting for parts
I picked up the coilovers today so that is finally done...I'll start tearing that apart tonight and try to get them in over the weekend and put the dash back together.
These BC RAM coilovers are nice looking coilovers.

The car doesnt appear to be beat on. But whoever did the mods should be slapped
I actually met him in Bristol Tenn where he picked up a 370Z. I'm working through the issues and am happy with the car. Just a little more work than expected... Gives me something to do
haha i wont mention names...to my knowledge the car was never actually tuned with the mods on it...could be wrong though
