AlchEm1st's Evo IV Coupe conversion project
Haha thanks. :P Takes time to gather thoughts and I didn't really plan out the video before I took it. Not like a forum post where I can proofread. Are you a speech teacher by chance? My college speech teacher always got onto us for "um's and so's".
Well, had some success with removing spot welds today. Didn't get as far as I hoped, but there's still plenty of time left today. I'll be up till probably 4ish but gotta break for dinner now.

No problem and nope! I do say that a lot I guess. It's the Japanese
"Ah! So desu ne! So! So!" Here's another vid actually.
Not so good news in this one though.
(Plenty of so's tho, I'd say it's so so overall

Thanks! Me too LOL.
Quick update. Floor is stripped down to just the parts I need now, but the rust is pretty bad. (see vids) Plan is to remove the
"cups" where the upper control arms bolt in this weekend and early next week the floor will go in for media blasting. With the cups
removed they should be able to clear out inside the rails somewhat and we can see how much actual metal is left.
If it's too
bad I'll see about buying new Evo 8 frame rails from Mitsu and just using the cups, pan, and diff hanger parts from my IV floor.
Starting to worry about how bad my car is gonna be once we start tearing into it...

Updated the first page a bit! Interior is now almost completely JDM! (minus RHD, don't want it in this car. When I'm finally able to get myself a BNR32 that'll be RHD and one RHD car is plenty
)
)
Another small update on the floorpan! It's ready for media blasting this coming week and then we'll see whether the current rails are salvageable or if I'll have to get some new ones. Either way, it's that much closer to going in the car!
Car is now for sale! Hate to sell it but it must go.
Get it while everything still comes as a bundle!

Any particular reason, if you care to share?
I'm still building it and not selling anything unless someone buys the car; but there's a certain kit car coming out that I'd like to pick up if I can sell this one. Otherwise I'm keeping it though so no worries.
Working out the front suspension now! Here's a pic of the last set of arms we just finished restoring for now!

With this the rear suspension is ready to on as soon as the floorpan is ready. It's gonna be till Summer though before that happens. (That's the other reason I'm considering selling. The pan is in rough shape at best. Once I got it back from the media blasters Dad's assessment is it's gonna need a bunch of patches welded in and will take months to complete. He did sheet metal work for aircraft and was a lead mechanic at United though so we can do it; it's just a major bummer on a car I'm already getting burnt out on.

I was thinking of buying a Factory Five.
But for now I'm still working on this. Just need money haha! I gotta buy an AEM volt gauge to replace the stock MR volt gauge so it'll match my EUGO wideband. The Viper alarm is draining the little PC680 in a matter of days if I don't drive it to keep it charged. I'm also working on fixing the front suspension geometry as it bumpsteers really badly right now and also upgrade to poly bushings from Whiteline and clean up the LCA's like I did for the rear end. Also looking for a set of Evo 5-8 seats as the stockers are kind of uncomfortable. Lastly, I'm going to try to get the trunk and wing painted soon! I don't see this car selling as is anyway. People think I'm asking too much because nobody really knows Evo 4-6 stuff here to realize how far along this car really is and how many SUPER rare parts are on it. Too be honest I'd be sad too see it go anyway.
