Hint: It cost me no money at all!

Bonus: You can see my old purple EG LOL! Engine is being redone. D15B7 stock block is being bored .020 and all new bottom end bits and a new head going on!
Zero miles FTW.

Correct! Inching ever closer to the install on the car! Hoping to get a floor in the coming weeks.

Haha no slacking no monies bro! Nah, there's things in the works. I'm waiting on a very large bit to come in from UK,
but that could be another month or two. Playing around with my fuel system and getting ready to start parts hording for my engine build.

Hey I was looking to doing a 97-00 mirage to evo IV conversion. I'm just looking into doing the body for now..I was wondering if everything should bolt on since the fifth generation has the same body as the e4 and which year in the fifth gen would be best? or does it matter at all?... correct me if im wrong pleasee. I'd like to gain some knowledge in the process. I appreciate it

Yup, everything pretty much "bolts on", though it usually ends up being a little more involved than that. They are old cars and when you start taking things apart, they break; so be ready for that. They are pretty much all the same from 97-01, but the 99-01 models are a little bit nicer and have a few minute differences. On the downside, on the 99-01 Mirages the Evap canister for the fuel tank was relocated to the back of the car and it's bracket needs to be trimmed for the Evo 4 rear bumper to clear, but it's really not a big deal. For the total body conversion you need the following:

Front bumper with support and fogs
Hood
front fenders (Mirage fenders are NOT the same)
side skirts
rear bumper with lip
trunk with wing and reflectors
head and tail lights
amber corners
amber sidemarkers
OEM badges
5lug

With all that nobody will be able to tell if its a real 4 or a Mirage conversion! Also, I have the front 5lug knuckles an Evo 4 MOMO steering wheel and even a front 4 piston big brake kit I can hook you up with if you want. All bolt-on. Here is my FS thread on Mirageforums.net. I also recommend surfing that site as there is almost any piece of info you could possibly need for a 4/5/6/TME conversion on there and it's where I spend most of my internet time haha.

I appreciate the info man! Yea I'm looking at this site right here japperformanceparts.co.uk. Its pretty cheap! im spending less 1.5k for everything thats has to do with the exterior. I got the site from a guy that also did the same swap that I'm attempting. But yea man! I wouldn't mind working on it with you, but I'm from cali though. It'd be nice to get someone with hands on experience to help out. but I'll probably end up making a build thread, but I still got 1 year until I start on this project. I have around 8k saved up for it, but I think thats more than enough. I still have to find a mirage though.. but yea man lets keep in touch! I'll keep you updated on everything as time goes by. I appreciate the advise man

Looks good, keep me updated! Oh, somethings to note; I believe there is no difference between the Evo 4-6 doors and the Mirage doors, and also if you want to do the AWD conversion you at the very least need an Evo 4 rear subframe as it's different from the Evo 5-9 one. Everything else should be the same though other than the subframe. Here's that link to my FS thread on Mirageforums.net since it didn't seem to work on my earlier post. If you can use anything, just let me know. http://www.mirageforums.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=44394
Also, you should check that site out if you're not already on there. We have tons of info on Mirage conversions!

You should probably make your own thread as this list will get very lengthy in a hurry, but you also need an Evo 4 front swaybay with all it's hardware and unless you want AYC, you better use an Evo 8 rear diff and rear axles. If you do want AYC I'll hook you up with my spare diff cheap! You also need the whole rear end assembly with all the control arms and everything. The Mirage rear end is totally different and has to be swapped out for the awd bits. For the interior are you going RHD?
