Id have to agree with you here Em my last 6bolt DSM motor was a high compression(10-1) Alumium rod motor on OLD school Groden rods, My new motor will be usen R&R aluminum rods with Wiseco HD 9-1 pistons. The aluminum rods is supposed to extend the life of rod bearings from the lighter roating assembly and the faster revs are nice also. The only thing my engine builder recommended was running the largest oil cooler i could find and i got your shops kit for the dsm. another thing ive been told is you need to make sure the motor is up to operrating temp before ripping on it hard n you give the engine proper amount of time to cool down before shutting it off (which is commen sence for any forced induction car) so ill be running an AEM oil temp and pressure guage also.
