Progress on the Evo

So I picked up my 03 Evo 8 on Friday March 30th. I bought it with no Radio a bad transfer case and in need of rear brakes. The seller didn't hide anything he was a very honest and a great seller. Anyways here is what I have gotten done so far, the new tcase arrived earlier today.

New Stereo Pioneer DEH-8400BH.

New parking brake shoes and hardware

New Rear Rotors and pads (hoping to refinish the calipers soon)

The the Tcase I just purchased from lillev23 (just came in today). Should have it in this weekend.

Started to get the bad tcase out today. So far it has kicked my ***, after breaking a bolt off in one of my calipers because of a cross threaded it and also one in the o2 housing. I drilled out the bolt and re-tapped the caliper this morning but haven't gotten to the o2 housing. I have the tcase almost out its just hanging there laughing at me. I can move it side to side but it won't drop lol. Im going to jack up the motor tomorrow and try it that way, hopefully it will come out.

It's a bish no doubt man. When I replaced my transmission (on my own :/ ) I fought with the transfer case for a few hours until I just said eff it and let it hang out of the way. The problem is the angle of the engine when you lifted it. If you could get all four corners on jack stands, then the engine won't lean back, and you can scoot the engine forward allowing you to remove the transfer case.
