I like the wingless look, it makes the evo a total sleeper.

 

EVOs look like a F##kin rolling brick if you don't have a wing.

I don't like wingless at all. It makes the car looks cheap but that's just my opinion

No one who knows cars is going to think you're in a regular lancer, unless you ditch the brakes, and you run 205 width tires, and remove all the badges, and remove the vortex generators if you have em, and run a stock looking exhaust that is as quiet as stock, and probably the seats. I love all the "sleepers" on here with some loud *** JDM angled exhaust

 

i 100% agree with this statement, someone please define a sleeper? because a cammed out 2.4 stroker in a stock lancer even isnt a sleeper. something that is loud isnt a sleeper, like butt said, you cant just take a wing off a evo and..... BAM! a sleeper it doesnt work that way, thats like taking the badges off a e55 AMG and saying its a stock e class mercedes... not how it works, now the guy on evom that runs a 2.3 stroker and has a exhaust cut out by boost with the stock tail section can be considered a sleeper because his car sounds more or less like stock untill he rolls into 15 psi and the cut out opens and all hell breaks loose. this kid i used to know had a s2k turbo than put down 550whp and he had stock exhaust with a cut out, minus the MONSTER intercooler in the front, if you approached him from the back you would never have known!... so as for the wing, it makes the car! again evo with no wing= lancer, sti no wing=wrx, srt4 no wing=neon, just My opinion! we need to start a thread just to talk about what people really think sleepers are!!!!

Im taking the wing off mine, too much attention from the unwanted and it doesnt really serve a purpose in my eyes (not adjustable)

 

i recently took mine off while i sanded and re cleared it.. it looks surprisingly well! with that said , most people will think its just some random mitsu.. wing is back on

 

The Type 1 spoiler by Rexpeed is the only way I'd go wingless.

 

my wing is at the shop getting painted and i hate not having it. evo just look funny without wings. is nice being able to use all of my rear window

I run a 68'' GT wing.

 

I think the wing gives the car a very boy racer look. Wingless/trunk lip just looks clean!!!

Starting with no wing id get a lager than stock wing so you can see out the back window beter.

 

I am wingless and I like it better that way. It just looks simpler and people who look at my Evo dont know what it is until you tell them. In this way, the Evo wing is kind like a trademark feature.
