wing. it balances the cars look. i had wingless for a month and car was more stable feeling at higher speeds with the wing on.

 

this. Just went wingless and I couldn't care less if people thought my car was a regular Lancer. In fact, I hope people do think that they just got smoked by a regular Lancer.

The holes in the trunk suck but will have that filled in later. just didn't want to spend 1000+ for a trunk and another few hundred to paint in.

 

Oh and people asking about unwanted attention from cops? I've been pulled over 2 times now because of my wing. Once in Chinatown and once downtown. Only had the car for 4 months now...

 

Wingless right now but only cause of my do-luck trunk haha

I actually like the oem wing but went wingless this summer because local police were busting my ***** on a weekly basis. All the local cops knew my car and would pull me over for one thing or another. I got tired of it and swapped out for a stealth stock looking 3'' exhaust, took tints off, and removed the wing. Now they don't even give me a second look when I drive by them. I thought it looked stupid at first but wingless is really growing on me.

 

Im going wingless this week just to try a new stuff............

 

Wing is what makes evo an evo
Wingles looks good in some angles, but most of the time it looks like its missing something

 

IMO the 8 & 9's look good wingless but only with the right stance. Otherwise they look like they have a bad haircut. And the 10 doesn't look right at all wingless, like someone chopped their tail off.

 

I think the Evo 8/9 looks rather "professional" without the wing.

Here is what I did to address the remaining holes after it is removed - painted magnet sheet.

 

Wings aggressive but looks cleaner without it such a hard descion

Both look nice on the car. wingless blends in with all other cars, while the wing kinda makes it more eye catching. without the wing it seems like something is missing so i'd add a trunk lip to it, but thats just me
