Replaced the alternator plug.....fine for 4 days...then bam......today power starts going down. Its the GDAM alternator plug.......AGAIN. WTF. It was secure as hell. So now I'm starting to think its the alternator.........AGAIN.

Am wrong to feel like after all the money spent and time spent waiting that to have these problems is kinda like the final kick in the *****. Like God is telling me this is the time to fold 'em.

Then my temps have been way out of control today. It started climbing to 220 when stationary and on the highway even though it goes down to below half it still never gets below 200......and it was only 75 this morning.

And to top it all off my horns on my car started doing this weird fluttering thing where they started to come on on their own intermittently.....after the car was off. I flipped the breaker to my battery relo and set it k and it seemed to stop the problem. First time that has happened.

I'm beginning to consider selling this car. I have not been able to drive this thing for a full 7 days without there being some sort of problem (don't get me started on the inconsistent clutch) since i got it back in MARCH,

MARCH

Let that sink in.

****IN MARCH

I'm so tired of this ****. i just want a car I can drive reliably that won't potentially leave me stranded. I've gotten to the point that I'm scared to drive it because there is ALWAYS something wrong. What good is having a fast car when you barely drive it much less have fun in it. I didn't think I signed up for this. I thought having one shop do everything was the right way to go but I'm having nightmares of the blue car all over again with all the little problems I've been having. Hell in some respects this is worse.

I'm going to see what the going rate is and seriously weigh my options. I'm kinda done at this point. I may feel different tomorrow but today I'm done.

sounds like it'd be nice if you could just swap the whole engine harness for a new/used good one. Perfect time for a wire tuck too, if you're into that sort of thing.

I know that little **** is frustrating you, but at least it's mechanically good. Once you have the gremlins out from the previous owner, I think you'll have just what you wanted.

Oh, and a journal bearing turbo just doesn't sound like you...

Wow, def a motivation right here!!! Cant even compare what you went thru to the lil problems i have with my current evo. My last evo got rear ended and it totalled. Got another one in RR this time lol and saw you wanted to get an ISF, my pops just recently got one. Fun to drive but like you said there arent much to do with the car other than intake, headers, exhaust, wheels and suspension. Anyway, Good luck with everything else!!

LOL @ the Naruto reference. Funny enough I watch it online all the time (my guilty pleasure. My son's friends think I'm the coolest dad because he and I can have conversations about Anime and stuff like that).

Yeah I was born and raised in Toronto until I moved late 90's. I still call it home and come back to visit regularily. My wife won't let me drive the Evo up there (well now because its not reliable enough) because she said car theft up there is retarded.

When I did live there i lived primarily in Scarborough/Willowdale/North York. I moved around a bit though, Ramerville/Markham twice, Richmond Hill. Lived for some time at Shepherd and Bathurst and then lived with my then girlfriend (who is now my wife) in 'sauga'.

What part of Scarborough do you live?

After damn near taking a finger off because of how annoyed i was I have since calmed down. With a clearer mind I started looking into what could be the cause of all this stupidity.

I was looking to install a lower temp thermostat only to discover there was no thermostat. I quizzed spec-Ops about it (since when they having overheating issues I thought they said they replaced the the thermostat before recommending replacing my CBRD halfcut with a Koyo (since they weren't convinced that radiator didn't get damaged in the fire). They said they sometimes don't put a thermostat in high horsepower cars. I have seen some people do it and some not. Evidence to the contrary on both lines of thought.

So since no thermostat hasn't been working I'm putting a lower t-stat in and having a fan shroud fabbed as added insurance. I hopeful this will take care of the of the temp issues I've been having. The alternator issue I'm going to monitor before going through all the trouble of replacing it again (in less then months).

So yes i'm back at it. amazing what 24 hours, a damn near busted finger because you're hulking out and some perspective will do for you.

Mechanically the car runs perfect. Thats been the only bright spot. The only thing that pisses me of is the MBC. I've seen the arguments for and against it. I've always liked EBC's or ECU controlled boost but I let Spec-Ops tell me what works (BTW I have the components to go ECU controlled for sale if anyone is interested).

I would be fine with the Hallman MBC except I don't like turning a knob and having to guess if boost is where its supposed to be. So probably August I'm ditching it and getting a AEM Tru-Boost (again) and getting something that will make life easier.

I don't like guessing.

"Best Dad Award" right there!

NARUTO is amazing. Period. No one can say otherwise or else I will cut their pinky fingers off Yakuza style...

But in the end, I am a Dragonball fan at-heart. I grew up watching Dragonball and there are just too many life lessons in that anime. I'm planning on acquiring every episode of Dragonball/Dragonball Z so that when I have a son (or daughter), he will be able to enjoy it and learn a thing or two from it just like how I did when I was a kid.

"If Goku can't do it...who can..."

That's crazy! Ontario Lancer owners ROCK!

The nearest major intersection to me is Lawrence Ave E and Kennedy Rd. I'm right in the heart of Scarborough!

Let me know when you're in town. We can discuss more about the future of Naruto and Sasuke and this damn Ten-Tails Jinchuuriki, Obito. LMFAO!

Naruto and Minato should do some kind of fuuuuuuusion!

Cheers, my friend!

LOL. I liked DBZ but my only issue with the series is it takes too damn long to start and end a fight. Naruto kinda has that problem but it doesn't drag out as long....they do flashbacks instead which are similarily annoying.

Kennedy and Lawrence...........

Just past that huge shopping center below 401 right (I think there is an AMC there)? Kinda familiar with it. Its a little fuzzy. The city has changed so much since i last lived there. I barely recognize some parts.

Sorry for the Anime geek out guys.
