Lancer shop sells it for $350. what ripoff! I guess you could buy it from the dealer for $190? Looks cool!

Is it functional? I thought it was only funtional on the MR because the MR has a lower roof line..

i dont think the MR has a different roof, just a lighter roof...

if the MR has a lower roof line, then the vortex generator would have even less of a function, not more.

Who cares it looks cool. It is

part and makes the car different. Motortrend says it create 38% more downforce in the MR. If you look at it close it bring air down toward the wing creating more downforce.

the v.g. will work on any 02-05 lancer, evo, ralliart it is the same roof line.....noel call me at the dealer i want you to take pics of are parts dept...

It wasn't a ripoff when it had to be special ordered. Now that it's a USDM part, sure that price is high, but Lancershop has good prices and if they stay true to form, they will proabably lower it soon and simply order USDM parts.

Anyway on this topic, it looks like the Vortex Generator installs right on top of the factory antenna base. Does the antenna base need to be removed? If so, how? How is it fastened to the roof? If it's just double-sided tape, do you think it will ever get old and fly off?
