part and makes the car different. Motortrend says it create 38% more downforce in the MR. If you look at it close it bring air down toward the wing creating more downforce.

Anyway on this topic, it looks like the Vortex Generator installs right on top of the factory antenna base. Does the antenna base need to be removed? If so, how? How is it fastened to the roof? If it's just double-sided tape, do you think it will ever get old and fly off?

The MR VG has double sided tape at the bottom and it fits right over the existing antenna base. The only other part is to undo the rubber linning along window/roof edge first.
