Possible Alignment Problem??? Wiggly A$$

Ever since i put my volks on...my cars *** feels like jello on the highway.

around corners it's i dont' really feel it...but whenever i'm on the highway....and i slightly jerk the wheel or change lanes quickly, the car makes a quick turn to which ever side and then if feels like the *** almost has to catch up and then go back and correct itself...it seems like the *** is following the rest of the car and in some way isn't connected...

i have had a set of nitto 555's and just got a set of TOYO T1S's....i like the tires and the TOYO's are definately better than the nittos but when changing lanes the car just does not feel very solid. I figured it was because i was not on the stock advans anymore but after driving a new BMW today which should not outpreform my car handling wise....it felt rock solid changing lanes and the *** seemed to just move side to side with the rest of the car.

i am trying to figure out if it maybe an alignment problem or if i am really that spoiled from the advans. anyone with any info please throw in your .02.

also just FYI...my car is on stock suspension...the only thing changed is the wheels to 18's with 245/35/18 toyo t1s's

Hmm, those tires are slightly smaller than the stock ones, so it could have made a minor change in your alignment, though I'm not sure. I had an alignment done when I changed wheel/tire sizes and it felt loads better afterward.

Does your car feel like the rear-end is floating?

My guess is either you need an alignment or you have some blown rear struts.

Only way to find out if there is a problem would be an Alignment.

Rear toe's could be more positive than it should.

it's definately not the struts. they have 4500 miles on them and the stock suspension...and plus when a strut is blown.....it can get loud as hell.

and yes...it feels like the rear end is floating.......when i change lanes on the highway at over 60

as far as i've read on the boards, a wobbly *** end needs more rear toe in.
just a thought...

i had new springs put on. i had the shop put an 'aggressive street' alignment. i'll post the settings soon as i get them. the rear end is stable at speeds up to 145...
