Tire Size for Evo V

Tire Size for Evo V
I am in need of some new tires. Right now, the car has track tires 225/45/17 kumho v700s. I am in need of some street tires. What is the best size to go with on the factory wheels and suspension. 225/45/17 again? or can I go wider? any recommendations on size and brand? thanks!

Not sure what you mean by Cup, but the Michelin Pilot Sport road tire sucks, and the AVS sucks bad. I know, I tried it! After 1500 km, it looked like a bike tire if you know what I mean!

Claudius, from my post regarding tires, you'll know that I have no experience with tires on the Evo, except for the Toyo Proxes that came wrapped around my OZ F1's.
Sorry, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, got confused because I just finished ordering the Michelin Pilot Cup tires for my bike.
My brother uses the Pilot Sport A/S on his Alfa Romeo GTV6, and he tracks the car with the same tires, believe it or not, they are still holding up.
The reason why I mentioned the Yoko tires is because they were very good to me in the past with my Turbo/AWD Celica. I had them on for over 50K miles with no problems, still had about 40% of its thread on it.
I'm in the process of ordering the Advan wheels, Model 6, 18 x 8, for my Evo. The only problem is that Takakaira has a credit policy that rejects credit card orders over 220,000 yen. I really don't want to go through the hassle of having to wire the money. Do you know any other Japanese sites I can visit regarding wheels?
Yep, probably will go with the assimetricos...

OH, sorry EVO7, yes, my vehicle is registred for street use. I drive daily in NY, although I have registered/insured in Florida because of the cheaper insurance rates, no emmissions, less of a hassle.
