The TE37 in 17x8.5 is lighter than the BBS MR rims which are 17x8.

Well i was thinking about going with 18 x 8.5's anyways so the rim is probably going to weight more anyways. So i just have to choose if i want to spend 1300 or 2500 on rims... I love the Volks... but damn are they expensive. There is a good deal goin on those works right now too... ahh decisions decsions...

The sad thing is I am also looking at putting a 1500 stereo system in also. lol I need to stop the spending!

check out the 5zigen fno1r-c. they're light AND cheap! you can get all four shipped for around $800. the 17x8's weigh 17.8, so similar to MR wheels in weight.

scratch that, get some enkei rpf1's

they're less than 16 lbs and not much more than the 5zigen's

what would a stock R34 GTR 18x8.5 rim weigh? Id love to put these on my Evo 9 i had them on my s14.5, very nice rim, magnesium, could be heavy thats why im wondering.

my IX MR's BBS rims seem VERY light when im driving, u can really pick the difference between these and the other stock rims (Enkei)

I just got a set of 5Zigen FN01R-C's in 17X9. On my digital scale which is pretty accurate I got 19.6 lbs., just FYI. I heard they were supposed to be lighter. I haven't taken off my stockers to weigh yet, but if they are 20.50 lbs. then I'm satisfied. I looked at some Work emotions 18X8.5 in person and they felt HEAVY.

17x8 work emotion cr's are around 20 lbs. on 5zigens site, they list the 17x8 at just under 18 lbs. not doubting you, maybe they're being optimistic, your wheels are also an inch wider, not that i think that would add 2 lbs.
