for those that ran 5mm spacers to fit 275/40 tires on your 17's, did you have to buy extended studs?

I want to get a set of XXR 521 18x10 +25 wheels. What would be the best route as far as tires? and are spacers or anything else needed? I have a 1.5" drop all around as well.

If you're on stock body, sell them, and get something that fits right.

bigboybusa,
Can you take a picture to show how much pooch, or how flush, or how stretched your tire is on your wheel?

I havn't bought them, I was just asking what I would have to do for a solid fit. I was assuming I would need to roll the fenders and maybe some other things?

roll the fenders, pull the fenders, stretch the tires, negative camber.

I would stick to a 9 or 9.5 and just worry about rolling the fenders.

will do, its going to be a while though. the car is in storage. they are going on 18x9.5 +35 enkei pf01's. tires are 275/35R18 r888's. i just bought a fender roller, i should only need a light roll so i dont expect much hassle in getting them on.

n2oiroc,
Nice choice! Although you're going to rub pretty badly with that tall of a tire. You might look into getting some adjustable caster plates from Ciro design. Otherwise you're going to eat up your side skirts.

PF01's come in an 18x10.5 +38... would be perfect for a set of 295/30/18 R888's

I will take a pic when I can, but it is flat side wall on my 10.5s. One of the Falken tire guys said it was "block sidewall flush" or something!

if they hit the side skirts, ill consider trimming them. im not very low, just swift spec r's on bilstein hd's. i know ill have to put a little work in getting them to go with no rubbing, but im up to the challenge. a few years ago i was the shop manager of a huge custom wheel and tire store. donked out a lot of cars with much bigger stuff.

Trust me when I say it's going to eat your side skirt. 265/35/18's at them up pretty badly... and 285/30/18's were better. 275/35/18's are going to give you grief with out the extra effort.

Get some way to adjust caster and move your wheel forward. Besides, more caster is a good thing.

DMS, Vorshlag, Cirodesign, or another shop that Robi sells... all make caster adjustable camber plates.

what is a good caster # to aim for?
and do all those plates maintain stock ride height, or do some raise it?

here is my current alignment, next one will get more camber.
