Alignment help

Recently I hit a huge pot hole where my front left rim got bent. The front left wheel also seems to be tilted inward. I guess it was the camber that got screw up for the impact. So today I went to firestone to get it aligned, they said the camber and caster is not ajustable on the evo. Is it true? However I do have coilovers with adjustment for camber. I guess they don't know about that. So my camber for the FL is -2.8, FR is -0.7. To me the FL wheel still looks titled inwards. So is this problem easy fix for a performance shop that knows how to deal w/ coilovers or did I bent something??? Thanks.

True: There is no stock adjustment for Caster on the evo. I just typed this long reply...then realized you are running coilovers...I would just check for bent stuff..maybe some loose bolts or something that may have shifted...

Firestone Complete Auto Care stores are locally owned so your mileage will vary. The one I use does awesome work.

It depends. If you have camber plates, then it can be adjusted there. The OEM fronts adjust camber through an eccentric bolt on the lower strut bracket. See the shop manual for directions on how to adjust it. This bolt is _NOT_ in the firestone alignment settings computer (the old one or the new laser ones), but it's easy enough just to point it out to the tech.

Mine too. They adjusted my camber setting to be -1.5 front and -1.0 rear with 0 toe and it feels great on the stock setup .

My old alignment guy told me I couldn't adjust it to -1.5. He told me it's only -1 or -2 camber. I'm going to try some toe in(or out I forgot now) to see if it make the car a little more stable in the turns.

To answer Jordanz3 original question, looking at -1 camber(Your FR tire) then looking at almost -3 camber(Your FL tire), there will be a very big noticeable difference. Even -1 camber difference is very noticeable. When I had my 05 Evo, I hit a big pot hole, and it threw off my camber. My car handled "loose" and the left tire had a very noticeable difference in camber wear. I got new tires and a good alignment, and never had a problem again with uneven wear. So if you want your tires to last, get an alignment right away so that all your tires can wear evenly.

The two settings are marked -1 and -2, but the -2 setting usually comes out to about -1.5 degrees of actual camber.

They are dead wrong. And the caster can be changed a bit also, I've done it.
