you seriously need to have stiffer springs and much more dampening - keep that body roll in check.

I find maximum castor and some negative front and a little less negative rear about right.
I dont find understeer any kinda of problem in the evo. I use Tein SS and have it lowered slightly but I have the roll center well within a good range. Stiffened slightly and then each event is tuned for using tyre pressures and dampening settings. the rest I leave well alone.

Stock rear and front sway bars. I wouldnt stiffen the front bar on the AWD at all and I'd only slightly stiffen the rear if any. If you want a more rear-led car then put in the ralliart centre diff controller and increase your rear pressures while leaving the chassis balance of the car neutral.

Trav

Well, he also states he doesnt want suspension.

And your setup may be what works for you, but its extremely basic, theres allot more you can do.

The one I would add to the list is camber plates. Once you go -3 degrees up front, it's a whole different ballgame. Even low speed push isn't an issue.

I put the Whiteline rear strut bar on my otherwiase stock MR and it made a whole world of difference. It took a lot of understeer out of my car.

Is there an idea you are trying to express in your comment?

Just that things that applied or that are generally accepted as "truths" may have changed between then and now.

That said, MRLancer05, just to be clear, you installed just the rear strut bar or sway bar?

Yeah just the the rear strut bar. I later installed the WL rear swaybar as well and against my better judgement started it on the stiffest setting which made the car drive like it had plastic wheels in the rear. I set it back to the middle setting and everythings seems pretty good now.

MRLancer05, still working on getting the FSB installed? I'll be interested to hear your input on it. Not sure if I want to deal with the install yet or not.

If it wasnt for rusty bolts I could do the install in a few hours, its not bad at all. I have bought some super industrial penetrating oil that was recommened from a guy in newyork with an evo and plan to tackle it in the coming weeks. Your welcome to come supervise

Let me know when you do. I wouldn't mind seeing it done. FSB is the only suspension thing left that I want to do.
