Ditto. No instructions.

I am doing mine this weekend along with painting and installing a hood, fender, and front bumper. So this should be a pretty quick and easy addition.

One suggestion. Use wooden shims that you can get from home depot or other big box store. Then put blue tape over the rear door seem. The tape won't stop movement, but you should be able to see if it does move.

Yeah that would have been ideal but I only have limited time for my own projects and had to make do with what was around. Good idea with the painters tape I think, after doing this, you would be more prone to seeing movement if you unbolted the hinges without the suspension being compressed. While I was anticipating a desire for it all to shift nothing really felt like it was. Snug supports in between the sideskirt and bottom of the door were definitely a good precaution.

How did you guys line up the holes on the brackets of the braces? I mean they're not perfectly round....do you just pick a spot and just bolt it down?

is it preferable to slide it as far forward as possible?

Did you bolt down the doors before drilling the final 2 holes into the frame of the car?

I played with them for a bit and found that the way they naturally wanted to fall, at least on my car, actually provided for the best alignment to me. Sliding them all the way forward got them pretty close to some of the factory bracing and the last thing I want is an annoying resonance left over. Since this is a stress point on our cars subject to varying degrees of flex depending on what kind of abuse your particular vehicle has seen I'm sure everyone's will be a little different.

Yes, I did bolt my doors down before drilling.

Ok, so I put my fender braces on, on saturday, since then I have driven to chicago and back, and dealt with some nasty chicago roads, as well as highway driving.

My impression is that they did a pretty amazing job. There is definitely a reduction in chassis flex, and you can feel the suspension doing the work as opposed to the chassis flexing in that area. While the wait for the bars was long, the installation was pretty easy.

I did this at the same time as repainting/repairing my front end, so it was an additional 10 minutes on my part. however I will make a few suggestions as part of this.

First, they re-use the door bolts, but they add approximately 7mm of thickness to them, so your door bolts are not fully engaging the threads. Buy bolts that are 10mm longer than factory. Also lock-tite them.

2nd, the hardware they supply for the front bolts is weak. replace them with something stronger. Mine snapped off when trying to install them.

They were a worthwhile investment, and I recommend them.

Bump! I concur with previous statements, have the Ultra Racing Fender Bars. The front end is more composed and my butt feels the front suspension working.

onyl hardware u need are for the two hols u have to drill. really, just buy what ever you want that fits the holes. choose a higher grade and away you go. Nothing specific has to go there as long as they fit the holes.

I've got a set of these at home sitting on my workbench that I havent got around to installing yet...as mentioned above the only nuts and bolts you technically need are the ones for the hole in the front that you have to drill. Per this recommendation however, I am planning on picking up some stronger bolts as well as longer bolts for the door hinges. If you are patient I'd be happy to give you the specs of the hardware if I have some time this weekend...

I have the Nagisa fender bars. They came with instructions, and all hardware needed. I used my stock door bolts and haven't had an issue. They have been on the car for 3 years now.

Ya I think the Nagisa ones are more high end. The Ultra racing ones I got were $50 but didn't come with hardware lol.

Using the oem door bolts, everything is holding strong. Concurring with others just get whatever bolt fits the opening of the fender bar holes.
