humming noise?
humming noise?
Last weekend, I swapped on my bilstein/swifts and mounted d1*specs on my stock wheels. At first when I installed the suspension, The winter tires were still on and I don't remember hearing anything irregular. However, when the new tires were mounted, the car began to make this strange humming noise. It sounds pretty consistent at 65; gets much quieter at lower speeds more noticeable with higher speeds.
I know a wheel bearing gets louder and quieter intermittently, and the sound goes away when making a turn based on which bearing is going bad. In my case, the humming noise is still present when turning in both directions. Could this be a characteristic of the *specs in cooler temps? Or, is there something else that I should check? I'm mechanically deficient, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I just installed my swifts and Bilsteins, a week later I had a wheel bearing go bad. Jack the front of the car up so both wheels are off the ground. Shake each wheel back and forth if it wiggles and doesn't feel solid then its prob a wheel bearing. Hope that helps...
I've got stone RE01R's mounted and one of my tires is making noise and I don't know why. I can move it to any corner of the car and the noise follows. It sounds like a wheel bearing.
