Rays G-Force question wheel fitment
Rays G-Force question wheel fitment
I am sorry, I know this questions has been covered, but I believe my specific case has not .
I am about to get 18x9 with 30+ offset.
I am stock height with an Evolution IX MR.
I dont want to do any cutting, or rolling of the fenders, or add any spacers.
What tire sizes should I be able to run safely?
And If I was planning on dropping it using Swift Sport springs? what tire size?
Thanks for the help.
I just want to make sure everything works out before I buy them. and I got the guy waiting for my call today.

18x9 +30 is a real nice wheel for the EVO but I dont think you will fit anything wider than a 245 w/out rolling
Do yourself & your car a favor & roll the rears & install a nice 255/35 or maybe you could fit a 40 series
My opinion

Rolling is your best bet, but finding the right roller is important. Some guys cut the lip which I personally dont like (youre loosing 1/2 the material thickness)
When the roll is performed, there is a chance of the paint cracking at the bend line. So dont get excited if that happens. I would just sand it down & touch it up to protect. (Cant see it)
Pulling the rears is a bit more noticeable if you ever go that route. (for the big rubber)

Depends....
I've seen some crappy *** fender rolling, folding, cutting, pulling and everything else in order to make a wheel/tire combo fit on an evo.....just search around this forum and you will see what I'm talking about....
You won't notice very much, if anything, if the rear fender work is done correctly and by someone who knows what they are doing. If you've never done it before, don't bother. Pay someone else to do it for you...make sure you check out some of their previous jobs first!
BTW, a 255/35 would be my choice on this size wheel.

I have Rota G-force on my Viii. 18 x 9 +30 no fender rolling on the f & r, no scrapes whats so ever front or rear. Federal tires 245 40 18 stock MR with Racecomps/GTworx. However I'm running 3mm spacers up front to clear the brembos. The Rota g-force will absolutely scrape(very slightly metal to metal) the brembos without the spacers, I will not jeopardize my brembos for the sake of any aftermarket wheels, even though I've seen some people run G-forces without them. I really like these wheels because their fully flushed minus the rice look at me look stick out rims look. Federals tires are great with any 18 x 9s. GL
