i emailed robispec and they said the springs were progressive +30% in the front over stock and the drop was 1"F and 1"R.

i have a set of apexi n1 exv coils that i bought used recently. the rear springs say 8kg/mm, i get that. but the front springs are kw brand and say "60-200* GBDC". is that any indication of the spring rate? if so, what does it mean?

Shoot Andrew or Robi a call on that one. I *think* its a 6k spring. 200 is the length.

good reading!! thinking about changing my springs around now from 12k front 10k rear to
10k-F and 12k-R. still though why wouldn't you want to get the heavier spring up front where the car is heavier and more pressure coming down on it say when braking etc. I new to the suspension game so sorry if question seems weak just trying to learn!

The Evo front and rear suspension have different motion ratios (ratio of wheel travel to shock travel). The rear has a higher ratio than the front, so it needs a higher spring rate. Stock is 180f/225r.

I'm thinking of byuing a set of Tein S-techs for my IX.Will they work with 18" Wheels later on or will the tyres scrape alot? I'm thinking 245/40/18 Tyres and an 8.5J rim.
