Alignment Question

My Evo is dropped on GTWorx Springs, and I'm running 18x9.5 +22 Work CR Ultimates. Toe is fine but I can't seem to get my camber uniform on all 4 corners. Whats the best way to get a proper alignment without going to coils and using the top hats?

You need camber plates up front to dial in the camber perfectly. In the rear, depending on how much its lowered, the X's run out of adjustment and need a camber link. My friends is like this. The least rear camber he can get is -1.6 in the rear..

I'd be fine at 1.6 all the way around, if I can get all 4 to do it.

well, stock you only have the upper bolt of the two that hold the strut to the knuckle. And it's only 2 positions. So you need camber plates up front and you should be good. However, you will want more front camber than rear. If your running -1.6 in the rear, you'll want at least -2.5 up front for good handling characteristics..

Sorry perhaps I need to clarify.

I'm not looking for aggressive or anything other than a simple alignment that won't kill my tires. Do I need all those bits for that? Honestly at that pricing for plates + bolts I'm halfway to coils.

The fronts are where you're gonna have a hard time because there's one bolt that dictates camber. The way it comes from the factory is in the -1 to -1.2 range. Rotate it 180* and its -2 to -2.2ish give or take. Been a while since I messed with it. The rears have more adjustment than the front. You can find camber bolts but I wouldn't trust them. Camber plates would be the way to go, that is unless you get coilovers.

You don't have adjustment up front without camber plats, you simply have 2 positions of the upper bolt, and you get what you get. So either live with it not being perfect side to side, or buy camber plates..

Well that sucks, but makes sense. I'm not particularly suspension literate if I'm honest. It looks to me like it would be better to just pick up a set of lightly used coils rather than plates. At least coils have solid resale value.

Eh, a cheap set of lightly used coilovers is going to ride like pretty rough compared to your MR ohlins with lowering springs. I would do camber plates and call it a day.

I was thinking something like KW3's would be good, but I do suppose it would be silly since I don't really want to be any lower. Suggestion on camber plates? Vorshlag?

Vorshlag is quality. KW V3's you have to purchase camber plates separately, they're not included. Ohlins from Muellerized would be a good option in the same price range as the KW's, new..

if your not trying to spend alot of money, a set of fortune 500 or BC racing spec are a couple of solid choices. many run the fortune's and like them alot.
