Not me, I think a properly designed set of springs can be made to work well on the stock evo shocks BUT it will never ride that much better than stock. Apparently the new Bilstien stuff on the MR is the solution for those not wanting to do a coilover. Supposed to be a great setup.

a properly designed spring kit should work pretty well with the OEM shocks..... BUT you are compromised by the amount of stroke left in the OEM front struts

like they always say "theres no free lunch" if you want it all you are gonna have to pay for it coilovers $$$$

On another note. The stock strutsare heavily dampened and the stock spring rates are considered mild. The harsh ride is from the heavy damping of the Struts.
Nope. They are not the same thing!

Why the hell would I say it if it wasn't true?

Dampening is actually more accurate as you can see by the second definition listed for damp.

I disagree....I have never seen or heard anyone that knows about shocks utter the words dampening to describe what a shock is doing....it is wrong. I agree that dampen is a word but not dampening! Find dampening in here.....http://www.penskeshocks.com/Adjustab...h%20Manual.pdf or here http://www.ohlins.com/pdf/07440-01.pdf

BTW....I managed Eibach Springs Inc. US Motorsport department for 5 years....I think that I have a pretty good understanding of what I am talkking about.

That sounds like a blind stab to try to make Mttam510 sound less credible....... it didnt work, AND if you read carefully he was head of the Motorsports program NOT the street performance program (they are different divisions of a very large and sucessful spring company).

He never said that springs alone combined with stock shocks doesnt work. All he was doing was correcting the false information you were posting so that people with less experience and know-how on this forum could learn.

He has tought me a bunch about shocks/springs and suspension in general, maybe if you actually read his posts you could learn something also.

By the way....Ive had eibachs on my past 2 cars and yes, they rode better than stock.
